Simple joy: giving in to my past-midnight craving for noodle soup (I love sabaw!). Good thing there are 24-hour hawker centers in the area.
Bonus: Watching how an old lady was so committed in preparing the bowls of noodles. Mag-isa lang siyang gumagawa ng lahat -- taking orders (there was a queue -- around 7 of us were in line), preparing the noodles by hand, tinitimpla yung soup flavor sa bawat bowl, manning the cash register, serving the bowls, everything. For her to be working the graveyard shift, bilib ako.

Hubby had fried wanton on dry noodles. I had the steamed wanton noodle soup. Cheap, flavorful, comfort food -- noodles for the soul.
