On board the Titanic, Hubby is Thomas Drake Martinez Cardeza, 36, traveling with his mother, two servants, 14 trunks, 4 suitcases, 3 crates of baggage, on the most expensive suites. They were among those who survived. And I'm Annie Funk, 38, a missionary, traveling alone, staying on the 2nd class cabin, and sadly, among those who perished.
If you're traveling to SG anytime soon, we suggest that you include the Titanic Exhibit at the ArtScience Museum (Marina Bay Sands) among your must-dos. It'll run until 29 April 2012.
Kakakilabot siya! The exhibit was designed to be experiential -- touch the iceberg! -- lalo mo ma-i-imagine how tragic April 14, 1912 was. To make it more "personal," you'll be handed a replica of the Titanic boarding pass reflecting a name of an actual Titanic passenger. Sa dulo ng exhibit mo malalaman if your passenger is among those who survived (spine-tingling moment for me).
Maki-osyoso! Checking the supposedly "unsinkable ship" before its maiden voyage. |
